Education – Music – Secondary | This program is designed primarily for those desiring to teach instrumental music in junior or senior high school. It offers a combination of music and education courses, including individual instrumental lessons, music theory, music history, and the professionally required education courses; a choral component is also included. At the end of this five-year combined program, two degrees are granted: a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education. |

Music Bachelor of Arts with Honors | The BA Music Honors program is designed to prepare you for graduate-level studies in music history, theory, ethnomusicology, or cultural studies. The Honors program allows you to study art, folk, and popular music traditions, emphasizing academic work rather than performance. Successful completion of aural skills and theory placement tests is required. |
Music Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education – After Degree | This program is designed for students who already hold a university degree. Music – General Route | This route allows for the most flexible programming to accommodate individual backgrounds and interests; it can be as general or as specialized as you wish! You’ll have the opportunity to take courses in both theory and performance, including music history, world music, classical, and contemporary music. You can also earn credits by participating in one of our many performing ensembles, which include orchestras, concert choirs and bands, contemporary and improvisational ensembles, opera workshops, and world music ensembles. |
