Music Education | The Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree provides skilled musicians the opportunity to develop expertise in the classroom, ensemble and private studio in preparation for careers and state certification as public music school teachers and directors. |
Music Industry Studies | The Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies degree provides skilled musicians with opportunities to develop expertise as professionals who will work in the $70 billion music industry. Music Industry Studies has more than 100 students and is the Hayes School of Music’s second largest degree program. |
Music Performance | The Bachelor of Music in Music Performance degree provides skilled musicians with opportunities to develop expertise as professional performers or composers of solo, chamber and large ensemble music; as directors and performers of church music; or as university-level faculty following graduate study. |
Music Therapy | The Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy degree provides skilled musicians with opportunities to develop expertise to use music within a therapeutic relationship to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals as board-certified music therapists. |

Ensembles | The Hayes School of Music considers the ensemble experience to be an integral part of every musician’s training. Ensembles are considered classes, so students receive academic credit for their participation. |
Jazz Studies & Certificate Program | The Hayes School of Music has established a Jazz Certification Program that is available to all students of the University upon the recommendation of the Director of Jazz Studies. |
Certificate of Recognition in Performance | Provides an opportunity to motivated undergraduate non-performance music majors, who already demonstrate a keen interest in performance studies, to earn recognition for achievement in instrumental performance. |
